I stumbled across Marta Perry's Amish Mystery series in my local library and flew through each book that I could find. I enjoyed this one as well and wish it were a longer story. I like the detail and insight she gives to Amish life and their interaction with the surrounding communities.
Enjoyed this book very much. Some of the same characters were involved on this book as with the other Amish Suspense books. Would recommend as a good read.
A very short book compared to the rest of the series, but written as well as the rest of the series.
Lost in Plain Sight is good reading. Just not long enough! This novella, more than her novels in the Brotherhood of the Raven series, gives more insight into the lives of the Amish. They are people just like you and me! Just because their lifestyle is based on their religion does not make them "holier than thou". I have a friend who came out of the Amish who said that they can be pretty good at sinning just like the "English". Some of the characters in this novella do display rather unchristian behaviors in their attitude toward the heroine. I'm looking forward to Marta's next novel in the Brotherhood of the Raven Series and hope it gives us more insight into this secret society. Overall, very good reading. Just don't expect a novel!

Although this was a short novel, I did enjoy the story of Leah and Josiah.
Lost in Plain Sight ( The Brotherhood of the Raven) is a novella and it is worth the read - short read. This sweet novella has a good believable plot and the only down side is it is a novella ( short story).
Leah Miller is a sweet Amish girl that cleans houses, babysits and does odd jobs for those that need help - Amish and English. Soon her reputation comes under scrutiny when she is accused of stealing a valuable ring. She is filled with shame and embarrasment when those close to her don't believe her -except for a love interest.
Easy to read...enjoyable..
I think it was a sweet story about the young innocent children who are used by mean adults and are hurt but Don't know what they did. The thing is people need to really think k back when they were young and how it felt when adults didn't believe them. It was also good to see that they found each other's love. But it was to short.
This story line revolves aroung a young Amish girl who is accused of stealing something , she did not steal.
How the girl learned to hold steady to the Amish purity and yet find a way to hold her head up high.
The way the Amish relate to "outsides" is a lesson to all of us, but also leaves us wondering about the
high price we pay by being accused of something we did not do. Reputations ruined, self worth questioned and
the kindness of friends, Amish and English who love her and want to help.
A great read.
